Using a thin flat screw driver or equivalent, release the wiring connector locking tab inside of the oil level sensor, see Figure 1.

4.

Inspect the wire connector and wires at the oil level sensor for damage. Repair as necessary.

Check the date code stamped on the hex side of the oil level sensor, see Figure 2.  If the date code is prior to 1392 (139th. day of 1992), replace
the oil level sensor, see Oil Level Sensor Replacement.

6.

Locate, remove and discard the gold colored "P" clip and black attaching bolt that holds the starter wiring harness to the engine block between the
oil filter and right motor mount.
